Have you ever wondered why Windows Servers do not show the disk performance counters in task manager?
Here is how you enable them:
Step 1:Ā Enabling Disk Performance Counters
- EnsureĀ Task ManagerĀ is closed.
- Launch theĀ Command PromptĀ using the āRun as Administratorā option.
- Enter the following at theĀ Command Prompt:diskperf -Y
- Ā HitĀ Enter.
- Close theĀ Command Prompt.
- Re-open theĀ Task Manager.
Step 2:Ā After running the diskperf command, the ability to view Disk performance statistics on the performance tab should now be visible.
